Aims
The aim of the Conference is to discuss recent developments and practical applications in the numerical computation of electromagnetic fields for engineers and physicists engaged in the design and analysis of electromagnetic devices. Reflecting the new trends and rapid progress in the field, authors worldwide are invited to submit original and previously unpublished contributions. The Conference will feature oral and poster presentations. Invited speakers will focus attention on future trends in areas of interest to the Conference. Companies and research organizations will have technical and commercial exhibitions. The Testing Electromagnetic Analysis Methods (TEAM) Workshop is incorporated into the Conference by inviting contributions on benchmarking and code validation.

Deadlines
Receipt of 2 page Abstract: November 1st, 2006
Notification of Acceptance: March 19th, 2007
Provisional Program available: End of March 2007
Working Language
The working language of the conference is English,
which will be used for all printed materials, presentations and discussion.
Acceptance of Papers
Note: only papers dealing with numerical methods will be considered;
purely analytical solutions will not.
All papers accepted for presentation at the COMPUMAG 2007 Conference
will be published in the conference proceedings.
Papers presented at the Conference by a registered author
will be considered, after a second peer-reviewing process,
for publication in a special issue
of the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics journal.
Authors presenting more than one paper must pay an
Additional paper fee for each additional paper.
EMERALD COMPEL AWARD:
This new prize will be awarded to a young researcher,
who is a participant of Compumag 2007 registered as a STUDENT.
The paper may be co-authored,
but the recipient must have contributed significantly,
the evidence of this being demonstrated for example by the fact
that he/she is listed as the first author.
Finally, the paper must be presented by the young researcher
in either an oral or a poster session.
A special Awards Committee, working together with session chairs
and the Board of the International Compumag Society,
will select about 6 papers which will be commended and the authors
will receive certificates on behalf of the ICS Board.
One of these authors (in exceptional circumstances two for a joint award)
will be identified as the recipient of the Emerald COMPEL award.
