Arrival by Train

The main railway station in Aachen (Aachen Hauptbahnhof) is on the high speed train Thalys connection from Paris to Cologne (40 minutes), via Brussels (90 minutes). Local train connections to Düsseldorf and Cologne are available on a hourly basis. Timetables and Tickets on-line via Die Bahn (DB).
Some of the prebooked hotels are within walking distance from the main station. A map showing the location of the hotels will be published soon. The other hotels can be reached by using the taxicabs waiting in front of the main station.
Note: It is not usual in Germany to buy train tickets on-board. You are supposed to buy your ticket at the station before boarding.

Arrival by Car

Aachen can be reached by car from Cologne via the motorway A4, from Düsseldorf via the motorway A44, from Amsterdam and Eindhoven (the Netherlands) via the motorway E314, from Brussels, Antwerpen and Liege (Belgium) via the motorway E40.
